263 x 146 x 150cm Animal feed troughs, scribbly gum tree, carpet, wood, steel, reappropriated objects Viewers are encouraged take a step up and enter the sculpture The installation challenges religious belief systems and their impact on our thoughts and fears regarding the unknown. Viewers are invited to challenge their own thoughts around these systems while a playful twist replaces the priest in the confessional-like structure with a scribbly gum tree. The bark messages urge the viewer to reflect on the power of interpretation in religions and the truth found in nature. |
